Yesterday, at the Forbes Türkiye 'nin düzenlediği “ ForbesForbes Next / Artificial Intelligence Roundtable Meeting" organized by Forbes Turkey, we gathered with Turkey's leading business leaders. This event was not just a discussion about technology but also a journey into the future. The main theme of the meeting, "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Strategic Decision-Making," provided an opportunity to reassess my perspective on artificial intelligence:

I now see artificial intelligence as a child. What we teach it and the values we instill in it will determine how it responds to us in the future. If we guide it with the right principles and ethical values, it will become a tool that greatly benefits humanity. However, if we fail to educate it properly or equip it with the right information, it could pose risks to our future and society

Hybrid Models: Humans and Machines Working Together

The importance of hybrid models, where human intuition and AI algorithms create powerful synergy, was emphasized during the meeting. Artificial intelligence will not replace leaders. However, leaders who can effectively utilize AI will stand out. Data-driven insights and strategic decisions will only reach their full potential in the hands of leaders who understand technology.

Ethical Responsibility and Strong Regulations

Another crucial topic was the need to maintain the ethical boundaries of artificial intelligence. Issues such as the manipulative power of social media algorithms and the privacy violations of facial recognition technologies call for greater responsibility from all of us. When developing this technology, we must consider its impact on society and implement stronger regulations to manage these effects.

2024: The Rise of Artificial Intelligence

The year 2024 has been a time when artificial intelligence took on a more central role in business. The anticipation of new models developed by OpenAI after GPT-4.5, the high demand for NVIDIA’s H100 chips, and alternative AI solutions like SenseNova 5.0 once again highlighted how quickly this field is evolving. However, it’s clear that for this growth to be sustainable, energy and infrastructure needs must be addressed strategically.

Bilyoner and Our Artificial Intelligence Experiences

At the meeting, we had the opportunity to share not only general strategies but also our experiences within our own company. As Turkey’s first online gaming platform, Bilyoner has been a pioneer in the use of artificial intelligence.

In 2023, Bahista, Turkey’s first AI-based betting writer, was launched and received great appreciation from our users with an impressive 76% prediction success rate. This marked the beginning of our innovation journey. Following Bahista, Bahisandra, Turkey's first female AI writer specializing in basketball, took this success a step further. These projects demonstrate that Bilyoner sees technology not just as a tool but as a value that transforms the user experience.

AI Leadership Index

Perhaps the most exciting part of the meeting was the soon-to-be-published "Forbes Artificial Intelligence Leadership Index." I believe this index will serve as a crucial guide for understanding AI applications in business and shaping future leadership strategies. Personally, I’m eagerly looking forward to it.

As artificial intelligence opens a new chapter in our lives, the most important responsibility of business leaders is to use it ethically and beneficially to positively contribute to society. This meeting was not just an exchange of ideas but also carried a sense of responsibility for shaping the future of AI together.
